Diogo Jota bags two goals and an assist as Portugal thump Luxembourg 9-0

Diogo Jota scored two goals and bagged an assist as Portugal completed a historic victory over Luxembourg, putting nine goals past them in the UEFA Euro qualifiers.

Jota's first goal came in the 57th minute as he got on the end of a Bruno Fernandes through ball to fire past the Luxembourg keeper.

Jota's assist came for the fifth goal of the game as his lay-off was thumped into the roof of the net by Horta.

His second goal came in the 77th minute after some fortuitous link-up play with an opposition defender on the left side, which he finished off with the a precise shot.

An all round electric performance from the Liverpool forward.
