Speaking to the media at the weekend, Virgil van Dijk opened up on the desire of everyone at Liverpool to right the wrongs of the disappointing 2022/23 campaign.
The Dutchman said: "I definitely think that’s the case. We all are human beings and over the last years we all had a lot of success together.
"And if you have a season like we had last year, where a lot of things didn't go as we all wanted, then you want to put it right.
"So far in the pre-season it has been very good, very hard but very good, and hopefully it can benefit us for the rest of the season."
Liverpool missed out on the place in the Champions League last season, winning only one trophy: the 2022 Community Shield against Manchester City in July.
The 2023/24 campaign is shaping up to be an exciting one with the Reds bolstering their midfield ranks with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
