Liverpool midfield target Palhinha suffers 'serious' shoulder injury

Joao Palhinha's hopes of securing a move away from Fulham this summer have been dealt a devastating blow.

The 28-year-old midfielder has suffered a 'serious' shoulder injury during a pre-season friendly clash against Brentford.

The Portugal international has been linked with a move to Liverpool as the Reds look for alternatives to Brighton's Moises Caicedo.

Last season, Palhinha featured 40 games for Fulham across all competitions, scoring four goals and helping the club stay in the Premier League.
