Speaking on Sky Sports towards the end of the 2022/23 season about Liverpool's summer business, Jamie Carragher said: "I think they will end up getting another two midfield players.
"And I think they'll need another defender as well. Whether that's a centre-back or a full-back remains to be seen.
"There's a lot of talk whether Liverpool will keep the system they finished the season with and that's really interesting, but I think they'll get another three players in."
The first part of Carragher's wishlist — two midfield players — is now complete with the Reds bringing in Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
As for signing a defender, Liverpool have been linked with several centre-backs this summer, including Chelsea's Levi Colwill, Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven, and Sporting's Goncalo Inacio.
