'Coutinho moment': Some Liverpool fans would welcome Saudi Arabia buying Salah

Saudi clubs are the talk of the town this transfer window, with deals for the likes of Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante showing they mean business.

A Saudi Pro League official said that they must eventually sign Mo Salah, who is under contract with Liverpool until 2025.

While the majority of Liverpool fans want the Saudis to leave the forward alone, some are in favour of selling the Egyptian to Saudi Arabia.

Here's their reasoning.

DONTMISS: "If we get £100m+ for Salah I would let him go. Coutinho moment. Thoughts?"

Chrono: "Say it quietly but a big move for him could be the next Coutinho type deal that helps us rebuild the whole squad. No less than £200m tho"

Brendan Me Lad: "Unpopular take. If the opportunity is there to sell Mo for huge money do it. Due to his popularity in that part of the world Liverpool can get an even more inflated price. Then use the funds to try to get Mbappe( dream) or another high level signing that would normally be too much"

Jean YNWA: "I am saying this with sadness but if they offer big, big money, I would let him go. Just step back and think about it, Liverpool family."

Paul Skinner: "People gotta realise he's 31 so if a bid of £150m came in then it should be considered.

"We could get Kane who's 29 and has plenty of charge left or Kylian Mbappe. If we could get a world-class striker who's younger then we have to be very serious about it.

"Way too many fans are very sentimental and not thinking about the long-term future. We all love Salah and if he stays then fantastic, but what happens when he's 32 or 33."

Matt Tapper: "To be fair, if they're desperate go for it. He isn't getting any younger and similarly to Coutinho will give us funds to rebuild. But since it's Saudi I'd double the fee, could get maybe £200m."
