Loan offers prompt Liverpool to consider £4m defender's exit

Championship team Preston North End is looking to secure a loan deal for Liverpool's promising right-back Calvin Ramsay for the upcoming season. Ramsay, who joined Liverpool last summer from Aberdeen, has faced injury setbacks during his debut campaign with the club.

However, he showed promise during his limited appearances, including his senior debut in the Champions League and a start in the League Cup. Liverpool understands the importance of providing Ramsay with regular game time to aid his development once he returns to full fitness.

Although a decision on whether he will play for the U21s or at a higher level is yet to be made, Preston, managed by former Liverpool youth player Ryan Lowe, aims to convince Liverpool that Ramsay can continue his progress at Deepdale on a temporary basis.

Liverpool's right-back options will be strengthened in the pre-season with the return of Conor Bradley, who had a successful loan spell at Bolton Wanderers.
