Injury expert doesn't expect Van Dijk to play against Everton, predicts possible return timeframe

Virgil van Dijk has returned to Liverpool's training ground after recovering from an injury suffered last month.

However, as per Injury news expert Ben Dinnery, he is unlikely to make his return to action against Everton.

Dinnery told GiveMeSport: “I would suggest that the Merseyside derby on Monday is probably going to come a little bit too soon for him.

“I think, realistically, Jurgen Klopp would want more time on the training pitches for him, so it could be the game after that where he makes his return.”

Klopp probably wouldn’t want to rush Van Dijk back and risk him re-aggravating his injury, so he could take it slow with the Dutchman’s return.

The Reds will be hopeful of getting back to winning ways against Everton and put a damper on their bright start under Sean Dyche’s reign.
