Liverpool Echo (4 stars) report that the Reds could be on the market for free agents next summer as a way to bolster their squad. Here are the four players that are claimed to be options for Liverpool, with their deals ending in 2023.
Konrad Laimer. After a failed move this summer, the Reds maintain their interest in the midfielder. They are believed to be on good terms with Laimer's agency.
Memphis Depay. The forward is having a rotational role at Barcelona this season and is likely to opt for an exit next summer. He already has experience in the Premier League and can play in several positions in attack.
Thomas Lemar. Linked with Liverpool in the past, Lemar could get his move to Anfield after an underwhelming stint in Spain. The Frenchman could be a good option to have on the bench.
Marco Asensio. The Spaniard has a powerful shot in his arsenal which could help Liverpool against deep blocks. The Reds have been linked with Asensio multiple times in the past.
Liverpool can enter negotiations with these players already in January. This will be possible only as long as they don't extend their deals, of course.
