Romano confirms Liverpool's interest in Laimer, explains why transfer 'difficult'

"Konrad Laimer is one of the players Liverpool are looking at but he's not the only one," Fabrizio Romano told Wettfreunde.

"It's possible he'll go to Liverpool, but with German clubs it's always difficult to negotiate at the end of the transfer window."

The 25-year-old has made 164 appearances for Leipzig, scoring 11 goals and providing 18 assists.

Leipzig sporting director Oliver Mintzlaff said that the club does not want to sell the Austrian.

The midfielder's contract expires next summer so this transfer window could be the last opportunity for Leipzig to sell him.
