'Konny will stay': Leipzig chief deals Liverpool Laimer transfer blow

 director Oliver Mintzlaff told Leipziger Volkszeitung of 

"But the transfer window is still open and we're still holding a few conversations.

"The tendency is very, very large for him to stay with us."

Laimer is said to be among the options for

 is another name that has been linked to Liverpool. The highly-rated 20-year-old already has Premier League experience and plays in a Graham Potter side that plays possession based football. It could be a smooth transition for the player if Liverpool do attempt to sign him.

 is also on Liverpool's radar. He would be the cheaper alternative to the other players on the list with a bid of £15m to £20m being slated as 'tempting' for Celtic. They only signed him this January so they would ideally like to keep him, but when Liverpool come knocking, it'll be hard for them to say no.
