Roberto Firmino went off against Chelsea with what has been described as a minor injury to his hamstring.
However, Liverpool fan u/OxfordsandTea on Reddit believes that the injury may be more serious than the club have let on and he has examples.
He wrote: "It’s not even panicking regarding Bobby at this point. Any time a player goes down injured and it’s pitched as unserious, but then has follow up details about “awaiting scans,” “still being assessed,” we’re without them for 2-3 months minimum.
"Lallana a few seasons back was at the end of the season, then the off season, and then we saw a full leg brace.
"Jota was supposedly expected to return in 2-3 weeks for a lengthy period of time and was out for 82 days for a “knock.”
"It’s easier for me to start mentally preparing for players to be out for two or three months when this kind of thing starts and then be happily surprised when they’re back early, or more likely, “on time,” with the schedule I’ve come to expect."
Obviously the hope is that Bobby doesn't miss serious time but this could be Diogo Jota's chance to make the starting role his own.
