According to a report by Goal, the Reds have asked about the availability of Valencia player Ferran Torres.
The report states that eight different clubs are interested in signing the talented winger should he be available. The likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid are named in the report.
Torres, who operates primarily on the right side of the attack, has scored six goals and registered seven assists for his club this season. The 20-year-old is tall, great in the air, and can create chances as well as score goals.
The player performed well in the Champions League group stages where he attracted the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs.
He has a release clause of €100 million in his current deal which expires in 2021. Torres has shown no inclination of wanting to extend his deal, which could mean that Valencia might be forced to sell him for a lower price in the upcoming transfer window.
The Reds will face some tough competition if they want to sign him, as many of Europe's heavyweights are after the player.
It remains to be seen whether this reported interest from the Premier League leaders turns into anything concrete in the upcoming months.
