'Sloppy, so sloppy': Steve McManaman slams Kim Min-Jae for mistakes in Real Madrid clash

Steve McManaman has criticized Bayern Munich's Kim Min-jae for his performance in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. McManaman described it as a 'night to forget' for Kim.

Kim made two huge mistakes. On the first one McManaman said: "From Kim's point of view when an attacker comes off you to make them sort of dummy runs, you don't sprint in, you go in stages."

"He never did it, he went in one run and got caught square really quickly. Then the ball goes in behind and Vinicius did him completely."

On the second mistake Steve McManaman said: "Sloppy, so sloppy, you cannot touch him. Lovely play by Vinicius Jr. That’s a penalty. What’s he playing at [Kim] making a challenge like that? Doesn’t matter what level you play at. Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes, will cost you dearly."

"That was the lifeline Real Madrid needed. Lovely ball from Vini Jnr. Nice poke ball to Rodrygo. But why is he [Kim] making the decision to tackle? Eric Dier is the sweeper behind him!"

"Kim has had a night to forget at this level. Can he turn it on again next week at the Bernabeu?"

According to WhoScored, Kim got a 6.71 rating, one of the lowest in the team.
