In a recent video on the FIFPRO TikTok channel, Cancelo picked his dream five-a-side team of past and present players. He chose Ederson as his goalkeeper and then shared his thoughts on his defensive choice.
He said: "In defence, Ruben Dias, for the leadership he offers. Because of his personality on the field and for being a warrior too, because he is a warrior and, for me, a defender has to be a warrior."
Since joining the Manchester club, Dias has played in 175 matches in various competitions, scoring four goals and assisting five times. In the 27 Premier League games this season, the 26-year-old has made 73 clearances, 25 interceptions, and 30 blocks for City.
He's also the top player at the club in terms of tackling dribblers, showing his strong defensive skills and his crucial role for the team.
