Josko Gvardiol played a crucial role in the defence during the Arsenal match. The Croatian player had one of his best games in a City jersey so far. After the game, the Croatian revealed that Man City deserved to win more.
He said: "I’m happy, but I don’t want to talk about my performance. I want to talk about the team performance today, and the way we performed and if you ask me, we deserved much more than just the point but we need to move on to the next one."
Looking back on the game, the Croatian player praised Man City's performance, highlighting that the point they earned could be very important later in the season.
"That’s football," Gvardiol expressed. "In some games there won’t be many opportunities to score a goal but when you get a chance you need to score it and we could’ve scored at the end with a corner kick, but we didn’t."
"The good thing is we didn’t lose, and a point means we are still in the game to fight for a title and there’s still a long journey, so we just need to be on the highest level till the end of the season."
