Major European football leagues winner odds: only two countries keep intrigue

What's going on in Europe's top 5 football leagues? In some of them, the title race outcomes are all but decided, others are keeping the intrigue alive. Let's see who bookies tip to win at the end of the season!

In Germany, the situation has changed most radically compared to the start of the season. In the summer, our betting partners Megapari rated Bayern as favourites at 1.15 while odds on Bayer Leverkusen were placed at 50.00.

Fast forward to February, and Bayer are leading the league, five points clear of Munich. Moreover, Leverkusen are standing at 1.45 while Bayern Munich's odds at 2.55.

However, five points mean nothing when it's Bayern Munich chasing you. The title race is alive and it's extremely exciting to watch it!

The title race is alive and rocking here as well. The bookies' favourite hasn't changed: it's Man City who are placed at 1.59.

What's interesting about that is the Man City are now second in the Premier League. Liverpool are two points clear but considering the Citizens have a game in hand, their chances are really huge: the Reds have to hope Pep Guardiola slips up.

The outcome of the title race could be decided on March 10 when Man City and Liverpool lock horns at Anfield.

Who would have imagined before the start of the season that Barcelona would be nowhere near the trophy, judging by the odds?

That's exactly what things look like now.

With ten points separating league leaders Real Madrid from Barca, odds on Los Blancos' win are close to zero. To win at least €10, you'd have to place €200 - is is worth it?

Betting on Girona looks more reasonable on paper: there are only five points between them and Madrid and there is the slightest of chances that this gap could be closed.

With seven points separating league leaders Inter Milan from second-placed Juventus, it looks like nothing is going to affect the Serie A standings.

Odds on the Nerazzurri lifting the trophy are even lower than those on Real Madrid. However, it looks like bookies are underestimating Juve a bit. Inter will have to compete in the Champions League and that might take its toll on their form. Just a couple of bad games, and everything can change quickly!

The French league is a tournament where the intrigue looks dead right from the start. In the previous ten seasons, PSG won the Ligue 1 title eight times! As of now, there are 11 points between them and second-placed Nice.

No wonder Megapari rate the Parisians at 1.01, and that's not bad at all: many bookies have stopped accepting bets on PSG.
