Philippe Coutinho could join one club famous for reviving careers — not in Saudi Arabia

Philippe Coutinho's adventure at Aston Villa could draw to a close soon enough. The 31-year-old Brazilian could now be given a lifeline in Spain.

According to Marca, Real Betis are interested in Coutinho and could make a move before the transfer window shuts on 1 September.

Betis are kind of known for reviving footballing careers that stall somewhat: Isco has got off to a flying start; Nabil Fekir rebooted his career following the Liverpool transfer collapse; Real Madrid's golden boy Sergio Canales had a good spell there.

As one football fan put it on Reddit: "They're obsessed with collecting seemingly washed but technically brilliant attacking midfielders."

Coutinho also has an option in Qatar with AFC Champions League participant Al-Duhali interested.

Coutinho is currently nursing an injury but it shouldn't be too bad and he should be back on the pitch shortly after the upcoming international break. The only question is which club it will be for.
