Leicester City complete €10 million deal for Turkish international

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Leicester have completed Yunus Akgün deal.

Romano tweeted: "Leicester have completed Yunus Akgün deal from Galatasaray, now on his way for medical tests. Deal sealed on loan with buy option — if he plays 25 games, Leicester have to buy him for €10m."

Akgun has been associated with Galatasaray since 2011 and gained some experience with the first team during the 2018-19 season as a young player. However, his true breakthrough in senior football occurred while on loan at Adana Demirspor.

During the 2020-21 season, Akgun showcased his skills by scoring five goals for Adana Demirspor in the second tier of Turkish football, contributing to their promotion to the Super Lig. His impressive performances earned him an extended loan deal for the following season.

Having moved up to a higher division, Akgun's performance improved even further. In the 2021-22 season, he netted eight goals and provided 11 assists. Despite his success, he returned to Galatasaray for the 2022-23 season to be part of their squad.
