Jose Mourinho appears to be dead set on staying at AS Roma for a third year.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho has just rejected a massive offer from Saudi Arabia (of course). Al Ahli reportedly were ready to give the Special One €96m for three years.
Al Ahli is one of the top 4 clubs in the country but is kind of behind the other clubs in snapping up top talent. Edouard Mendy has joined from Chelsea and Roberto Firmino is only set to follow.
It must be said that Al Ahli has just been promoted to the top flight after spending a year in the lower division. They'd suffered a shock relegation a year ago but bounced back immediately.
Al Ahli remains one of the country's biggest clubs and it's one of the four clubs alongside Al Ittihad, Al Nassr and Al Hilal to be bought out by the Public Investment Fund in order to have financial might to attract stars.
And as for Mourinho, he remains adamant he wants to stay where he is. He failed to win the Europa League last season after losing in the final but will try again next year. Roma are active in the transfer market and aren't looking to stop.
