Aston Villa seem to be really serious about breaking into the top 6, top 7 or whatever the denomination for the strong is now in England.
According to the Guardian, Villa will pay Villarreal £35m for centre-back Pau Torres.
Torres, 26, is a Spain international and has been tipped for a move to a top club for a couple of years. He's chosen Aston Villa as his next step as the club is looking to break into the elite.
Villa had a strong second half of the past campaign as Unai Emery did a fantastic job guiding them into the Conference League. By the way, Emery already worked with Torres at Villarreal.
Villa has already signed Youri Tielemans on a free and, perhaps more importantly, got famous sporting director Monchi from Sevilla.
