This deal can make Mourinho the highest-paid manager ever - it’s not PSG

Jose Mourinho has reportedly been offered a whopping £100 million deal to become the next coach of the Saudi Arabian national team. This comes after the exit of former coach Herve Renard. The prospect of reuniting with former star Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr is said to be also tempting for the Portuguese manager.

Currently, Mourinho is managing AS Roma and has led them to lift the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy last season, and is now in the race for a UEFA Champions League spot.

With his contract at Roma ending in the summer of 2024, Mourinho may also be a target for other European clubs. Although he enjoys a strong relationship with Roma fans, he has been frustrated by the lack of improvement in the squad.

Reports also suggest that Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ahli are looking to hire Mourinho as well. The deal offered to Mourinho by Saudi Arabia includes a two-year contract worth £100 million with the option to end it after one year or extend it up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
