Turkish side Akhisarspor suspends 8 players for eating President's baklava treat

, a third-division club from Turkey, have indefinitely suspended 8 first-team players for eating baklava.

The reason is that these players accepted the treat from a presidential candidate Mikail Kaplan, the former rival of the newly elected president Evren Ozbey.

To punish them for eating baklava from his rival, Ozbey has suspended Yiğit Efe Düztaş, Halil Yeral, Yusuf Acer, Gökmen Aydoğdu, Mert Efe Çölbeyi, Enes Tayfun, Yavuz Serkan Özbakan and Oğuzcan Kesgin.

But these development has caused chaos within the squad, who have not been able to train since August 5.

Akhisarspor are now lacking enough players in their squad to compete in the upcoming TFF Third League.
