The CONMEBOL 2022 World Cup qualifiers finished on Thursday with Ecuador playing out a 1–1 draw with Argentina.
A point secured against Argentina was enough for Gustavo Alfaro's side to book their place at the Qatar tournament come November.
And there was further joy for Ecuador defender Byron Castillo who got his hands on Lionel Messi's shirt after it was initially given to Pervis Estupinan.
