Canada manager John Herdman has achieved a very rare feat after guiding them to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
In doing so, he has become the first-ever manager in history to lead both the men’s and women’s national teams of a country to their respective World Cups.
He guided the Canadian women’s team of the 2015 Women’s FIFA World Cup, in which they reached the quarter-finals.
Herdman has now helped the men’s team qualify for the competition for the first time since 1986.
The Englishman boasts an impressive record as Canada’s head coach, winning 29 out of the 40 games he’s managed so far.
