'Did you mean Switzerland?': Italy brutally trolled by Swiss fans after World Cup qualification failure

Switzerland fans brought out a cheeky banner during their 1-2 loss to England on Saturday to troll Italy.

The Italians failed to qualify for the World Cup after losing their playoffs qualifier to North Macedonia, meaning this will the second successive edition in which they won’t feature.

Some Swiss supporters trolled them for their failures, as the banner was produced showing a Google search box with the words ‘Italy World Cup Qatar 2022’ written.

Below it, a ‘did you mean’ section was added in which Switzerland’s name was mentioned, showing the fans are delighted to see their nation go into the World Cup ahead of Italy.

Switzerland have already qualified for the World Cup after finishing first in their qualifiers group, ahead of Italy.
