Robert Lewandowski has cut all ties with Chinese technology company Huawei for supporting Russia amid their military invasion of Ukraine.
Huawei have reportedly been helping stabilize Russia’s internet services, which have come under attack from hacker groups since their war started with Ukraine.
This has led to the Bayern Munich striker deciding to quit his role as the regional ambassador for the company in Poland and certain areas of Europe.
Huawei confirmed this, saying in an official statement: “Huawei CBG Polska regrets the end of the partnership with Robert Lewandowski. We appreciate our long-term cooperation and wish him every success in the future.”
Lewandowski has been quite vocal about opposing Russia’s actions against Ukraine and supported his football association’s decision in refusing to play any games against the Russia national team going forward.
