West Ham United owner David Gold committed a hilarious mistake while celebrating defender Issa Diop’s 100th appearance for the club.
He made a tweet that read: “Issa Diop was delighted to mark his 100th appearance for West Ham United with another fantastic performance in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup win over Manchester City. Well done Issa. Dg.”
In doing so, he posted a picture of former Hammers player Xander Silva instead of Diop.
Gold later realized his error and deleted his tweet, instead posting a new tweet with the correct picture of Diop.
This isn’t the first time he’s made such a gaffe on social media either.
Gold made the same error a few years ago when wishing Winston Reid a happy birthday – only to slip in a picture of a former academy player Kyle Knoyle in his post.
