Xavi wants Joao Felix to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, per top Catalan source Toni Juanmarti.
It is said that Xavi never wanted Felix at Barca in the first place and preferred a signing in midfield when Deco and President Joan Laporta signed the Portuguese.
Felix hit the ground running with 10 starts in his first 13 games at the club. He also scored six goals plus three assists by December. But everything went downhill when Felix seemed to suffer the slightest dip in form.
Hence, Felix has only started one of Barca's last eight games meaning he's failed to add to his 10 goals and six assists this term.
It was even more baffling that Xavi completely ignored the attacker in Barca's 2-0 win against Sociedad despite being told to warm up. Thus he sat on the bench for the entire 90 minutes like Vitor Roque.
Felix is at Barca on loan from Atletico Madrid — but it's now looking likely that he'll return to Madrid at the end of the campaign unless Xavi changes his mind. As for Felix, he'd love to stay and fight for his place at Barcelona.
