Barcelona have offered Ronald Araujo a contract extension to keep him at the club beyond 2026 but the defender is still dragging his feet to sign it.
Sources say it's because Bayern has offered to pay him more than Barca and his entourage wants him to move to Germany. All that has fueled the rumours regarding a possible exit for the Urguayan centre-back.
“I talk a lot with Araujo and he knows what I think," Xavi said when asked about the player's future," Xavi told the media.
"There are zero doubts about his future on my side. “He knows what I want for his future. I always try to speak honestly and sincerely and he’s happy here,” Xavi added.
Araujo suffered a dip in form this season and was guilty of several errors leading to goals against Barca. However, there's no question he's still a top defender on his day.
