3 ways how Barca could line up with Xavi Simons

Xavi Simons reportedly wants to join Barcelona on loan this summer.

This is great news for Xavi Hernandez who would be willing to manage such a versatile player who is also on top form these days.

Here is how the 21-year-old could fit into the Blaugrana squad.

Option 1

Sharing the left wing with a good friend Alejandro Balde could be Simons' dream – the two know each other since the La Masia days. Given Balde's ability to run forward and Simons cutting inside, they could complement each other perfectly.

Option 2

The Dutchman can be one of the midfielders and play as a mezzala, driving forward to support attacks – or simply be an attacking midfielder behind Robert Lewandowski.

Option 3

Sometimes Simons could be giving Lamine Yamal rest by playing on the right wing which is also one of his natural positions. That way, all of Barca's starting midfielders could be put into the eleven.
