The World Cup winner could function nicely alongside players who are better on the ball like Pedri, Frenkie, Gundogan and so on. 

A good backup, he is someone who could come on towards the end of games and provide defensive stability.

you don't know football. kimmich is not a pivot, he is a RB convert to mid.  even at bayern, he was paired with goretzka. not a stand alone pivot same with dejong. both ain't a pivot.

I very well know that but it’s all about how someone is playing in a certain position and he’s been doing exceptionally well even when not paired and the talk here is about getting a better dm and using guido as a sub hence address the issue that’s being talked about than pointing out shit no one’s asking.

there is no difference btw dejong and kimmich just that kimmich offered more goals and assistant than dejong. both ain't a single pivot which barca need and lack. 

we already have gundogan pedri(now weak) gavi fermin and dejong in that role, why getting kimmich again?

Did you not read what I wrote , I’m saying it’s about getting a better dm than guido and not staring guido at barca , go for zubimendi if not kimmich and as I said I know what you’re saying but kimmich surely has been playing the dm role way better than de Jong ever could. My point is we need a better player to start at dm than guido and I’d take kimmich over guido and dejong any day,

I know u want kimmich, getting kim means dejong as to leave. barca financial base can't accommodate both. i will also trade dejong for kim cos he offer more goals and assist than dejong.

I am not disputing kimmich role in that team. just that people fail to realize that, for barca to sign kimmich, dejong has to leave barca. dejong wage will cover Kim and guido while we nuture a lamasia kid to take over.

Kim is now 29 while dejong us 26. Kim provide more goals and assist than dejong. personally, i will sell dejong and sign kimmich with a ruthless defensive pivot. so barca going for Kim and guido(free) and selling dejong is a good deal

I won't mind goals..but enginee room sucks..Kim can make it stable

exactly, people want Kim and they don't want to sell dejong who as not live up to expectations. even fermin has more goals than dejong this season.

If we sign a proper dm like kimmich only then I wouldn’t mind getting him for free as a backup otherwise this’ll be a very average signing and we’ll still have to keep using Christensen as a dm.
