Last time out, we listed the players who are likely to benefit from Xavi's Barcelona stay.
Here are those who may find his decision a problem.
Frenkie de Jong
Although Xavi often calls the Dutchman one of the best midfielders in the world, the Barca boss apparently wants the club to sign a natural defensive midfielder – and this may seriously impact De Jong's Blaugrana future.
Jules Kounde
There was a time the Frenchman hinted at his desire to play at centre-back on a permanent basis. While he has been rock-solid on the right lately, there are no guarantees he won't think of asking to play in his natural position again.
Joao Felix
Xavi apparently didn't want Barca to loan the Portuguese in the first place. In the middle of the season, the coach was unhappy with the forward's lack of effort; while the latter improved afterwards, he still continues to be more of an impact sub.
Vitor Roque
The Brazilian forward intends to stay at Barca no matter what, but we don't see Xavi give him enough game time next season. At this point, it would be really difficult for the 19-year-old to hope for more.
Sergino Dest
The American said it clearly: if Xavi stays at Barca, he sees no future at the club. The wing-back has recently picked up a season-ending injury, so there is absolutely no way he'll play for the Catalans in the near future.
