Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has told Barcelona they are making a wise choice in keeping faith with Xavi.
"He [Xavi] has done a good job at Barca, he knows the club well, it seems like a correct decision to me," Ancelotti said in his press conference for the Sociedad.
It's been a difficult season for Xavi with Barca set to go trophy-less but there's been excitement and positives the Blaugrana can take away from the season. For instance, Barca went 13 games unbeaten before they faced PSG in the second of the Champions League quarter-final. It was also the first time they had reached that stage of the competition in four years.
The emergence of young players like Pau Cubarsi and Lamine also gives Cules something to look forward to.
And let's not forget that Barca are still La Liga's defending champions thanks to Xavi.
