Barca and over-reliance on young players are like bread and butter. We're seeing it again this season with Lamine Yamal.
A report by football observatory body CIES has shown that Lamine is the fourth most-utilized under-20 player in Europe — note that Lamine isn't even 17.
The numbers show that Yamal's 2807 minutes played for Barca is the most minutes played by any player his age grade this season and places him fourth overall for under-20 players in Europe.
Surprisingly, Pablo Gavi who hasn't played since November makes the top 10 list. Benfica midfielder Joao Neves is the most utilised player in the world.

This proves that Barca have over-used Yamal this season, just like they did with Gavi and Pedri seasons before.
Thankfully, Yamal has managed to avoid injuries but when a 16-year-old plays too much football it could affect him in later years, like was the case of Ansu Fati and Pedri.
