'Open war' rages in Dani Alves' family over pics with wife Joana Sanz — brother stops support to ex-Barca star

There is an 'open war' in Dani Alves' family following the Brazilian's provisional release from prizon, report La Razon.

The Barca legend's brother, Ney, no longer supports Dani after he reunited with ex-wife, Joana Sanz.

Ney was really frustrated with Joana's decision to file for divorce when the Brazilian got jailed. He didn't like her attitude at the time as she didn't seem to care much about Dani's situation.

"I'm going to give you some advice. It's good even for me. Never expect consideration, recognition or loyalty from anyone. We have to be alert, because the same person who makes you great is the same one that tomorrow will throw you to the ground and crush you without mercy," Ney once wrote while his brother was in prison.

Now that Joana has revived her relationship with the 40-year-old, Ney can't understand neither her nor his blood relative. Some Brazilian sources, however, note that their tension dates back to a 'financial dispute' they had long ago.

Dani Alves was initially sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for an alleged sexual assault that took place at a night club of Barcelona on December 31, 2022. His two passports, Spanish and Brazilian, have been withdrawn while he also has to appear weekly in court. The Barca legends awaits the final sentence.
