"Definitely yes [Real Madrid are the favourite of El Clasico]. Barcelona are fighting, trying. They have good players in all positions, but they have had too many injuries this season and perhaps they should pay a little more attention to themselves and their mistakes and not always complain about the referees. This doesn't help," former Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil has told Marca.
While this may feel like mockery, Ozil is probably right to say this. The number of Xavi's yellow and red cards alone tells a lot on how Barca over-react to some referee decisions. While some of them are actually wrong, they are definitely not the main reason behind Barca's struggles this season.
As for El Clasico favourite... let's see. It seems like Mesut underestimates Barca here.
