Speaking to the media in the aftermath of a painful defeat to PSG, Ilkay Gundogan didn't mince words in his critique of his Barcelona teammates, openly questioning their mentality.
The midfielder notably implied that the Uruguayan deserved to be sent off the pitch and was therefore responsible for Barca's downfall.
Gundogan's remarks reportedly split the dressing room into two camps, with some players finding them offensive.
Blaugrana legend Carles Puyol, however, sees nothing wrong with what the German said.
"Everyone is free to say what they want. I am in favour of talking about problems in the dressing room. Gundogan has given his opinion without having bad intentions."
As someone who spent almost two decades at Camp Nou and captained the team to a dozen of major trophies, he probably knows what he's talking about.
