Barcelona have offered Pedri a bumper new contract, Ferran Martinez of Mundo Deportivo reports.
Barca's offer is in line with their new policy of rewarding all essential players whose contracts end in 2026 with a new two-year deal. Thus, Pedri has been offered a deal until the summer of 2028.
The first big player to take this offer was Ter Stegen who extended last year until 2028, although his new deal came with some salary reduction.
Barca are working to extend the contract of other key players like Ronald Araujo and Frenkie De Jong who will also become free agents in 2026.
Barcelona considers Pedri a key player for their present and future and have no intentions of selling him. The faith in Pedri remains unshaken despite his battles with injuries since 2021.
Pedri has played 24 games this season scoring twice and assisting four more goals. However, he's missed 19 games through injury and continues to recover from his last setback.
