"It's embarrassing... it's crazy that the [Raphinha] goal was cancelled," reputable former referee Mateu Lahoz has told Movistar.
"He [Lewandowski] is in an offside position but has absolutely no impact on the play and therefore cannot be punished. It has nothing to do with the action and therefore nothing to do with the offside rule.
"It's not Lewandowski who gives him [Raphinha] the ball. What's Raphinha's fault if he is in a position to score when Fermin gives him the ball?"
The main official and the VAR decided that Robert Lewandowski was interfering with the play in that episode, although it seems like he didn't even touch the ball and Raphinha's goal should've stood indeed. It's a pity as the goal came after a gorgeous team play that began near Marc-Andre ter Stegen's goal.
This is not the first time Lahoz spots referee mistakes that don't favour Barca.
