Dani Alves STILL IN JAIL as Neymar's father failed to pay bail

Earlier reports suggested that Dani Alves had been provisionally released from prison following a rape conviction.

However, Mundo Deportivo claims that the Brazilian footballer remains incarcerated after Neymar's father, Neymar Senior, backed out and failed to pay the 1,000,000 euro bail for the ex-Barcelona man.

Alves sought assistance from Neymar Senior, who had previously lent him 150,000 euros to settle with the complainant as compensation. However, this time, he reportedly declined to help.

The situation is further complicated by Alves' financial struggles, particularly concerning his ex-wife, Dinorah Santana, and their two children. Allegedly failing to provide the required child support has led to his accounts in Brazil being frozen, leaving him unable to access funds.

In Spain, Alves reportedly has two accounts with La Caixa, one with a zero balance and the other holding 51,000 euros. However, a judicial lien of 50,000 euros prevents him from withdrawing this amount. This sum, even if available, would only be a fraction of the required bail.

Alves' family, particularly his mother and brother Ney, are reportedly seeking a loan to secure the defender's release. As of now, they have not succeeded, though.
