Gerard Pique has finally said what everyone has been thinking since he retired. The legendary defender claims he could become Barcelona's president one day.
"If I can help in any way, I want to. It's something I feel inside me. I don't think now is the time. I am focused on the King's League, we are in an expansion process,” Pique said.
“You never know in the future, it may be an option. I never like to close doors on myself.
"Being president of Barcelona is a big responsibility, but I could have a big impact on the club if I decide to try at some point. In the future, I can explore that possibility, but not now,” Pique adds.
Pique has enjoyed some success with his King's League project which continues to attract attention around Spain. The World Cup winner has also shown he has the competence to run a football club by owning a Spanish club FC Andorra who aren't doing too badly.
