Ibrahim Diarra has travelled back to Mali after completing a trial with Barcelona, reports Diario Sport's Tomas Andreu.
The 17-year-old 'met all the expectations' and surprised the coaches with his enormous potential, both with Barca's youth teams and with Barca Atletic.
The teenager is standing out for his mobility and pace. He is also described as an 'eminantly offensive' and vertical player.
Barcelona plan to make Diarra part of the club already this summer. Together with the player's entourage, they are looking for a special formula to do it since he can't be part of the club until he turns 18 in December.
Ibrahim Diarra is one of the hottest African prospects in his position. He is an attacking midfielder who can also play as a right winger. The teenager was absolutely on fire for Mali at the U17 World Cup where he captained his national team. He currently belongs to Malian side Academie Africa Foot.
