Xavi will not start Pau Cubarsi against Napoli. According to Javi Miguel, Xavi's centre-back pair to face Victor Osimhen in the Napoli game will be Ronald Araujo and Inigo Martinez.
Xavi doesn't want to risk inexperience against the attacking force posed by Italian champions which explains why Cubarsi is likely to start on the bench.
There is a lot at stake against Napoli for both Xavi and the club. Xavi could be sacked immediately if Barca loses the tie. Defeat will also mean that Barca misses out on a huge financial windfall that comes with reaching the Champions League quarter-final.
Barca are, however, facing a Napoli battling poor form. They could even sack their manager before they face Barca on Wednesday night.
Still, the Blaugrana cannot afford to be complacent as Napoli will be looking for a good result to regain their confidence and form.
