Two Barca players could potentially return from injury against Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona could see their defensive crisis solved in their upcoming Copa del Rey clash against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday (January 24).

As per Relevo journalist Alex Pintanel, Andreas Christensen and Joao Cancelo could both be back in time for the cup game.

Cancelo has been out of action for nearly the entirety of January, missing the last five matches in all competitions. However, Barca have already confirmed that he will be in the squad for the game.

Christensen got injured in the match against Unionistas and missed the Real Betis game, but he could make a swift return against Athletic Bilbao.

If both the experienced defenders can prove their fitness levels, then Xavi will be able to play them instead of Pau Cubarsi and Sergi Roberto against Bilbao.
