'We are lucky': Ernesto Valverde reacts to drawing Barca in Copa del Rey

"It is a classic match against a strong competitor. We are lucky because we will not have to travel. We are excited," Ernesto Valverde has told the media when asked about facing Barcelona in Copa del Rey quarterfinals.

Athletic Club are the second-best home side in La Liga this season, only behind Atletico Madrid. Barca, in turn, are only 5th, but bear in mind they play at a different stadium this term.

Both Bilbao and Blaugrana will play their La Liga fixtures away from home this weekend – against Valencia and Real Betis respectively. They will face each other in Copa del Rey on Wednesday, January 24.

The Basque side will be without their leader in attack, Inaki Williams.
