Xavi and Deco are 'in disagreement' over Barcelona's potential January signing, reports Diario Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz.
The Barca boss believes the club should land a central midfielder whose skillset would be similar to Gavi's. Deco insists they should go for a defensive midfielder who would be a proper replacement for Sergio Busquets.
The Catalans reportedly have set Aleix Garcia as their priority target this month. The Girona midfielder is more similar to Gavi than to Busquets, although he could also play in the latter's natural position. There's also hot prospect Lucas Bergvall on the radars who's more of a mix of Gavi and Pedri.
As for natural defensive midfielders, Barca have been linked with Fluminense player Andre, but there is nothing advanced between the two parties.
Barcelona would be able to make new signings after they finally trigger their remaining economic lever.
