La Liga relax 2024 transfer rules — what it means for Barcelona

La Liga have made their Financial Fair Play rules 'more flexible' to make sure clubs can sign more players, Radio Catalunya reports.

The clubs exceeding their wage cap could use 50% of their savings; now this amount will be increased to 60%. Moreover, the figure rises to 70% if the club sign a star player — i.e. someone who takes up 5% or more of the club's salary bill.

The changes are taking effect in January and will remain in place for the summer transfer window. As per the source, Barcelona will 'undoubtedly benefit' from the new rules.
