7 benchwarmers at Barca who can't wait for Dallas friendly

Barcelona are 5000 miles away from Spain in pursuit of a $5m windfall that will come from playing a friendly match in Dallas against Mexican side Club America.

While Barca key players will be cursing the congested schedule ahead of Christmas, some benchwarmers will be rubbing their palms together at the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Let's name those players.

Ander Astralaga. We always include him in the Barca squad for every other game since Ter Stegen's injury. Perhaps it's time to see him play for real. Inaki Pena deserves some rest anyway.

Hector Fort. The right-back featured for 60 minutes in Barca's defeat to Antwerp. The game in the US presents another opportunity to play for the first team once again.

Pau Cubarsi. Everyone seems to rate the teenager so highly at Barca. But he's been left on the bench on the eight occasions Xavi called him to the senior team for a game.

Marc Casado. The Spaniard is hailed as the next best thing in Barca's midfield but he's only played 22 minutes of senior team football this season. Perhaps he could start the game.

Marc Guiu. With two goals for the senior team despite playing just 44 minutes this season, one wonders how well Guiu will perform when he starts games.

Oriol Romeu. The 32-year-old lost his place in the first team after a series of shaky performances. A solid outing in the US could be the baby steps towards changing Xavi's mind.

Ferran Torres. The Spaniard has nine goal contributions despite not starting regularly. The game in Dallas presents an opportunity to show what he brings to the team.
