Out-of-favour Man United player 'offers himself to Barca' - previous attempt was blocked by Xavi

Donny van de Beek has reached out to Barcelona for a potential loan move this winter, as reported by Diario Sport.

The Dutch midfielder has fallen another victim to Erik ten Hag ill-favour, managing just 21 minutes of playing time with Manchester United this season. As such, the 26-year-old is seeking a fresh start elsewhere.

As you might remember, he'd already offered his services to the Catalans in 2021, but was rejected by Xavi, who was convinced Barca had enough options in midfield back then.

Could he possibly change his mind now that one of the team's key midfielders - Gavi - is injured and won't be back in action until next season? We'll find out soon enough.
