Former Barcelona fan-favourite striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged a hat-trick to help Marseille beat Ajax 4-3 in the Europa League group stage on Thursday.

It's Aubameyang's first hat-trick since he did it for Barcelona against Valencia two seasons ago.
However, this hat-trick helps Auba enter the history books as one of only two players who have scored three hat-tricks in the Europa League. The other player to do it is Radamel Falcao who managed the feat for Atletico Madrid years ago.
Auba's goal ensured that Marseille qualified for the Europa League knockout stages. The Gabonese striker has now scored eight goals and three assists in his 18 appearances this season. Not bad for a 34-year-old.
Barcelona offloaded Aubameyang last summer for financial reasons in a €12m transfer. But it was a disastrous move for him as he managed just three goals in 24 games and barely ever played football.
